Jessica F. Magidson, PhD is a Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard-trained licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions to address symptoms of depression and anxiety. She is a tenured Associate Professor at University of Maryland, leading a Center conducting research to evaluate the implementation of CBT and mindfulness in a variety of clinical and research settings all over the world. She has published over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on this topic and received over $20 million from the National Institutes of Health and other funders to support her work over the past decade. She also conducts seminars and speaks at national and international conferences on the implementation of CBT and mindfulness-based interventions. Her area of deep passion is the outdoors and nature-based delivery of evidence-based interventions. She also brings valued lived experience into her work navigating balance as a mom of three young children, building healthy postpartum and return to work routines, and sharing in postpartum and fertility journeys.
